A sense of belonging in our professional and personal spaces contributes to not only our own well-being, but to the overall success of all our communities.

Dibs is a word used when laying claim to something

Calling dibs on something is an assertion of one’s rights: "Dibs on that last slice of pizza!"; "I call dibs on the front seat.“

Let’s call dibs on making sure that our colleagues, leaders, clients, partners and suppliers feel like they’re included in workplace discussions and that they belong.

Leave being better prepared to champion a culture where all feel welcome and that they truly belong.

 

Denise Reed Lamoreaux, Global Chief Diversity Officer, Atos

 

In 2017, Denise Reed Lamoreaux was asked to create a Diversity and Inclusion Officer role for Atos North America, in complete absence of any existing program, and outside her area of expertise.  She conducted research and developed a comprehensive 3-year program to a truly inclusive culture, focusing on four key pillars to support the program: Gender, Generations, Accessibility/Disability and Culture. By month 11, she was asked to lead a D&I program globally.  Now responsible to deliver programming, policies, and progress for 110,000 employees in 73 countries, Denise quickly established an Advisory Board with representatives from every country to assist her in implementing the global program.

Simultaneously, Denise has served her community in a number of key roles including President of the SUNY Geneseo Alumni Association where she helped develop the current model in place for the organization responsible for granting scholarships to current and future students and awards to alumnus.  In 2019 Denise was an RWN “W” Award Honoree.
