Join RWN’s Community Service SIG as we partner with the
Volunteers of America to celebrate the senior ladies in Rochester
who otherwise would spend Mother's Day alone.
I Remember Mama is a signature event for Volunteers of America. For more than 30 years, Volunteers of America has honored elderly mothers on Mother's Day at their "I Remember Mama" Brunch. As part of this event, gift bags are assembled by community partners.
To support this effort RWN will provide assembled gift “packets” that include: spa items, individually-wrapped tea bags, and individually-wrapped cookies.
There are lots of ways you can help!

Make a monetary donation using the QR code below by April 30. Donations will be used to purchase gift packet items. Excess money collected will go towards monetary donation to Volunteers of America to support other event expenses.

Bring a donation of a spa item, individually-wrapped tea bags, and/or individually-wrapped cookies with you to RWN’s Meet & Mingle, Explore & More on April 16.

We especially need volunteers to help assemble the gift bags! Please help us out with this on May 1. This will be “open house” style, between 5:30-7:30 p.m. at 287 Wilmot Rd. Brighton, 14618 (street parking). We’ll provide the drinks, but we’d love you to bring a small food item to share. Registration is limited to 15 people.

We also need a few volunteers to help out with delivery and a few other steps to get these special Mother’s Day gifts to recipients. Please contact Kate Schnittman (kate@ardentgroup.co) or Nikki Zimmerman (nicolezimm88@gmail.com) for more info if you’d like to assist with this.
